In the latest version of Apple Mac OS X operating system, also known as Leopard, parents were given the ability to control various aspects of their children's computer accounts, including which programs they could use and how long they could use them for. Once these parental controls are set, however, they are not permanent. Logically, there will be a time when you will want to remove these restrictions and give your children regular access privileges.
Step 1Log on to your computer with an administrator account.
Step 2Open System Preferences by clicking on the icon in the dock.
Step 3Go to the "Parental Controls" control panel underneath the "System" category.
Step 4Click the lock in the lower-left corner of the new window, and enter your administrative username and password.
Step 5Choose the account that you wish to disable Parental Controls for from the list on the left side of the window.
Step 6Click on the circle icon at the bottom of the account list and choose the "Disable Parental Controls" option. All previously set controls have now been turned off for the designated account.
