Thread: KGB Disclosed Spy Equipment Illegal Supplies from Russia

  1. Default KGB Disclosed Spy Equipment Illegal Supplies from Russia

Employees of the State Security Committee of Belarus disclosed a channel of illegal supplies of spy equipment from Russia to Belarus. Attackers disguised more than 50 units of small-sized video and audio recording and transmitting devices as everyday objects.

As explained in the KGB, the equipment was intended for "illegal collection of information about the private life of Belarusians through electronic surveillance."

Criminal proceedings have been instituted in respect of entrepreneurs in Minsk, suspected of illegally distributing facilities under Article 376 of the Criminal Code of Belarus ("Illegal manufacture, acquisition or sale of assets with secret information"). They face up to seven years imprisonment.
