Can a keylogger be attached to a ppt file ?

Can a key logger be installed remotely by attaching it to a ppt in an email that is sent to many recipients with different network connections simultaneously? Or does it have to be sent to one recipient only? I got a similar email and really need to know, thanx a lot.
